Matthew Saenz
Secretary
Matthew has built his career in Medicaid, Medicare, and government-supported healthcare, working where access, quality, and trust matter most. Across product development, operations, and community initiatives, his focus has remained consistent: lead with quality of care and design systems that genuinely serve people. He brings technology into healthcare not to replace relationships, but to improve conversations and understanding between plans, providers, and the communities they support.
Outside of healthcare, he is a coffee roaster in Tucson, a practice that keeps him closely connected to the community he serves. A Los Angeles native, he approaches coffee with the same intention he brings to his work, studying single-origin coffees from Mexico and roasting to highlight what already exists in the bean. Coffee, for him, is about craft, culture, and creating space for connection.
His involvement with Simply Hermosa is deeply personal. As a husband and a father to daughters, he is committed to being the man his family expects him to be. He wants his daughters to always know they belong in this world, so that they can do great things, and that their purpose includes leaving it better than they found it. He believes our time is short, but our impact can last, and through healthcare, community, and Simply Hermosa, he works to make that impact meaningful and lasting.
